All NHYBS Facilities are Closed Until Further Notice.
COVID-19 (Updated as of 3/28/2020)
We hope all of your family and friends are staying healthy and safe during this situation upon us. As you may know, this week Governor Murphy mandated that all NJ schools are to remain closed through April 17th. This results in NHYBS to remain suspended until that date.
We would to say thank you to all the medical personnel in our community that are helping on the frontlines to treat those who have been infected. We would also like to thank our first responders and all other essential employees that continue to work to serve our community during this time. In order to do what we can to help support these amazing heroes of our community we would like to promote what our friends at the Califon Fire Department are doing to help. Currently they have two bins outside their fire house and are asking for any PPE donations. You can find more information here: https://www.facebook.com/Califon-Fire-Company-187319881366506/
In closing, it is imperative that everyone continues to refrain from using our fields during our suspension. This includes the fields and batting cages at all four of our complexes.
Our Board of Directors would like to send our thoughts to all of you during this trying time. Based on today’s announcement by Governor Murphy, we will continue to suspend all baseball activities through March 30th. This suspension includes the restriction of any individual(s) or team using any of the fields and/or batting cages at any of our 4 complexes which include Jericho, Bundt, Foran, and Stadium 31. This applies to all NHYB rec and select teams, NHYS rec and travel teams, and any outside club team not affiliated with NHYBS.
We are hopeful that our nation and state’s self-distancing efforts will help speed up the return to normalcy for all of us. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide a new update on or before March 30th. Our Board of Directors along with our constituents at Cal Ripken National headquarters are working on several contingency plans that include starting our season in mid to late April.
We hope everyone stays healthy over the next few weeks. As we have stated throughout this situation, the health of our children, our fellow parents, our extended families, and our neighbors is our primary concern as a community youth sports organization during this unprecedented time.
HOME RUN HOPEFULS
Our organization is pleased to participate with Home Run Hopefuls, a charitable, non-profit organization that collects used baseball and softball equipment and distributes it to those less fortunate in the Dominican Republic. Our league will have two (2) collection bins outside of the sheds at the Jericho fields. A list of items the organization is seeking can be found HERE. Please do your best to place items in some type of bag and place them inside the storage bins. If the bins are full please place them on or near the bins under the overhang to avoid the equipment getting damaged.

SPRING BASEBALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!
We are pleased to announce that registration for our 2020 Spring North Hunterdon Youth Baseball season for children age 4 through 7 is still open! NHYB is a chartered organization and part of the Cal Ripken national organization. Our Rookie and A divisions include outside professional coaching resources. A divisions play with state-of-the-art pitching machines to help develop our younger players and assist with the pace of the game. New in 2020, we are expanding our field presence and are revamping Foran Field. This complex will be the third NHYB complex complimenting Jericho and Stadium 31 and will be the home for our Rookie & A divisions along with providing additional fields for our other teams to practice.
Our registration period for all 4-7 year olds will close on February 15th, 2020. We ask that all children are registered prior to this deadline so the league can ensure ample time to form the teams and to secure uniforms before the season begins.
Congratulations to our 2019 10U Red team on a great season! The team won 6 tournaments and were runners up at several more. Below is a list of their accomplishments. Many of these tournament wins were against travel/club teams across up and down the east coast. Not bad for a group of kids exclusively from our NHYB league. Way to go boys!!!!
